Issued and Lapsed are the two most common LEI statuses.
Issued
An Issued LEI is active and valid for transaction reporting.
It means the LEI has been renewed within the last 12 months and the entity data is up to date.
Lapsed
A Lapsed LEI is no longer active because it has not been renewed on time.
A Lapsed LEI can always be renewed, and the renewal can be done through the NordLEI portal at any time.
