1–24 business hours
depending on data availability and registry accessibility.
Factors that may affect processing time
Processing can take longer if:
Required data is missing from public registries
Documentation is incomplete or incorrect
The entity structure is complex
Parent company information requires verification
Payment is delayed
Express options
An Express LEI is issued within two hours for applications submitted between 09:00 and 16:00 CET on business days.
Applications submitted after 16:00 CET will be processed the next business day.
Express applications are prioritized. In some cases, we may request additional documentation to validate the information.
If this happens, your immediate response is required to avoid delays.
When the LEI becomes active
Once issued:
The LEI is immediately valid
It appears in the GLEIF global database (upload occurs in intervals of 3 times per day)
You receive confirmation by email
